lee sits alone at a bus stop.

it's been a long day of work, she’s not exactly feeling in high spirits, so as soon as the shift ended she clocked out.

thinking to herself about the day, her thoughts get cut off by the familiar sound of a bike chain.

xochi, does a very short powerslide on her bike, and parks right next to her.

i was wondering where you'd gone to... it's a little strange you'd go off so quick -said the cattlean woman, in an uncharacteristically bummed tone of voice

getting no response from the small bird, she continues - tired? i guess... would you like a ride?

lee lights up a bit, the idea of getting a ride with her crush does wonders for her morale, she speaks up- of course! ... uhm... if it's not a bother...

haha... -laughs xochi, flashing a smile- that's more like the lee i know... hop on -she says, as she signals lee to get on the rear rack.

lee promptly does, and shyly grabs xochi's suspenders.

noticing this, xochi adds - it would be better if you grabbed my shoulders or my waist -the now flushed young aven complies, and grabs xochi tightly by her waist, as they go off.

it's a nice night ride.

this is a good spot -says xochi, slowing down to park at a vendor stand in the corner of a mostly quiet street.

yo -she says to the vendor, hitting a peace sign as she gets off her bike.

hey there, been a while -says the vendor, waving back.

lee also gets off the bike, and parks it next to a higher part of the sidewalk, she sees xochi approach the vendor, seems like they're catching up on stuff.

she walks up to the cart, xochi looks back at her.

wedges ok? -says the cattlean woman

uh, yeah... -responds lee

two doubles with a side of wedges coming right up -the vendor exclaims

xochi turns back at lee once again and says- get me a coke from the cooler and have a seat...

lee turns to the side of the cart, picks up two glass bottles of coke and looks around for a place to sit down.

she walks up to where the bike is parked, and climbs up the raised entrance of the closed store, sitting down on the floor.

xochi comes back and sits down next to her.

here - says xochi, handing lee a small tray, a hotdog with a side of potato wedges, and 2 pretty cheap napkins.

great spot, quiet and the food's great -adds the cow.

lee looks at her slightly confused, but before she could say a word, xochi cuts her off again.

happy birthday, birdie~ -says xochi, flashing a big smile.

lee tries her best to hold it in, but tears start rolling down her face.

thank you... -lee barely manages to say out loud.
